Food for Thought
I wanted to share this video from The Fischbowl, which is a staff development blog developed by Karl Fisch for high school teachers at Arapahoe High School. The blog itself is very insightful but I especially liked this video entitled “Did You Know?” There are a few versions of this video but this one has an educational technology focus. This video has been very successful because it has been used by major corporations for meeting and forums.
It is essentially reiterating the need for educators to keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and to incorporate these technologies in our classrooms. In addition, teachers need to educate students on the effective use of various forms of technology in order for them to be technologically literate, develop the ability to communicate effectively and be productive in the global environment.
